Türkiye’de Amerikan şarapları bulabilmek hakikaten zor, farklı stilleri denemeden de hep bir şeyler eksik kalıyor, ne yapalım ne edelim dedik ve fotoğraftaki seçkiyi Amerika’dan gelen bir arkadaşımızdan rica ettik.
Ramey Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2015: Meyve aromalarına kızarmış ekmek, tereyağı ve fındık aromalarının eşlik ettiği yüksek asitli, harika bir beyaz. Puanım 91
Big Table Farm Pinot Noir 2017: Açık kırmızı, hafif kiremitimsi tonlara dönüş var, meyvemsi ve çiçeksi aromalar ön planda, gövdesi beklentimin üstünde bir şaraptı. Fıçının kattığını düşündüğüm tanenler ise şarabı güçlendirmiş. Puanım 92
Turley Kirschenmann Vineyard Zinfandel 2017: Tipik meyvemsi bir sıcak iklim zinfandeli, zaman içerisinde pişmiş meyveler ve çilek reçeli köpüğüne gül aromaları da katıldı. Puanım 92
1000 Stories Zinfandel 2016: Çok başarılı bir zinfandelin bourbon fıçı ile zenginleştiği güzel bir şarap. Puanım 90
Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2015: Tam içim olgunluğunda ders kitabı gibi bir Cabernet Sauvignon. Puanım 93
Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon 2017: Çok kuvvetli bir CS örneği, şarabın doğru yapıldığını her yudumda anlıyorsunuz fakat içmek ve yorumlamak için henüz çok erken. Puanım 94+
Opus One 2016: Muhteşem bir denge, yüksek asit-alkol-tanen, tam gövde fakat en az 5 yıl sonra içilmesi ve yorumlanması gereken bir şarap, bu kadar erken tattığıma üzüldüm. Puanım 96+

It’s really hard to find American wines in Turkey, there’s always something missing without trying different styles, we asked ourselves what we could do and asked for the compilation on the photo from a friend coming from the USA.
Ramey Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2015: A great white wine that accompanies toasted bread, butter and hazelnut aromas next to fruits. My rating is 91
Big Table Farm Pinot Noir 2017: Light in color with some earthy shades, fruits and floral aromas are standing out, the body is above my expectation. Tannin, what I think is coming from the oak barrel gives strength to the wine. My rating is 92
Turley Kirschenmann Vineyard Zinfandel 2017: A typical fruty warm climate Zinfandel, in time rose petals were added to the cooked fruits and strawberry jam froath. My rating is 92
1000 Stories Zinfandel 2016: A wine where a very successful Zinfandel is enriched with the aromas from a bourbon barrel. My rating is 90
Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2015: Exactly at the peak of maturity, a text-book Cabernet Sauvignon. My rating is 93
Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon 2017: A very strong example to CS, you can understand that the wine is produced correctly with each sip but it is too early to drink and comment on it. My rating is 94+
Opus One 2016: A perfect balance, high acid-alcohol-tanin, full body, but it needs at least 5 more years to be drunken and comment on it, I felt sorry to drink it this soon. My rating is 96+
